  • Conducted Historical Field Trips in Every Year.
  • OrganisedBridge course for the first year students ,who have not studied  the History at their  Intermediate level.
  • Organised 30 Days Subject Related Add On Courses Namely Fundamentals  of  Tourism,Contemporary History of A.P,Fundamentals  of  Archaeology
  • Conducted Remedial classes for students of slow learners
  • Counselling to Higher Education, Competitive exams.
  • Conducted Every Year Guest lecturer and attended to Extension lectures.
  • Every Year Celebrated Important Historical Days

STRENGTHS :- The Department has experienced and committed faculty members. Reference books in the library .Maps and Charts.Disciplined student strength

Weakness : 

  • Students from very poorer sections
  • 100% Percentage first generation literatures.No museum in this area
  • Historical sites are away from this place
  • Location of collage far away from the main town

Opportunity :

  • Can increase the admission
  • Employability
  • Progression to post graduation coursers
  • Chance to transform the less privileged section into professions
  • Can motivate students to study history because every competitive exam includes questions from History

Challenges :

  • Existence of no. of private degree collage in the town
  • Low Level awareness about the importance of education among the public living in surrounding areas
  • Early marriages of youth performed by their parents is common feature
  • Impression among public about the subject is discouraging

Future plans of Department :

  • The department’s goal is to make strides in instilling confidence among the students so that they aim high in their progression.
  • The department tries to focus in getting students admitted in prestigious institutions like HCU,JNU etc.

Achievement of Department of faculty :

  • Dr. B. Prasad Reddy MA, Phd. Working has reader in History with 30 years teaching experience.
  • He acted as a Principal (FAC) of the college.
  • He Contributed his services as Vice Principal of the college.
  • He was also served as IQAC Coordinator and UGC Coordinator in the college.
  • He was recognized as BOS member of Govt autonomous college for men and Sri KrishnadevarayaUniversity in Anantapur.
  • He was also acted as chief superintendent of SKU examinations in the college.
  • He was attended as academic adviser in academic audit of various colleges in Rayalaseema.
  • He worked as paper setter  for UG examinations of  VikramaSimhapuriUniversity at Nellore and YogivemanaUniversity Kadapa.
  • He was concentrated as paper setter for UG exams of Osmania college at Kurnool
  • He was acted as Chief examiner of  UG  History paper  valuation on SK University  Anantapur
  • Present he continued as Life member in Indian National Trust of Arts and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) of Anantapur charter.
  • He was attended a meeting committees – % C.C.E. A.P Amaravati Vijayawada.
